St Helier will welcome back its annual Christmas parade this evening, marking the return of a popular seasonal tradition.

In the wake of yesterday’s announcement concerning Blue Islands, Ports of Jersey has welcomed Loganair’s decision to step in and safeguard the island’s key air links — including the crucial medical connection to Southampton.

In a statement released on Friday, the carrier urged customers not to travel to airports unless they had already secured alternative arrangements. The Channel Islands–based airline, which employed around 100 people, operated services across the British Isles as well as routes to Bruges and Paris.
