Members of the public are being asked to share their views on three air licence applications affecting transport links across the Channel Islands.
Guernsey’s Transport Licensing Authority (TLA) has opened consultations on licences covering essential routes to and from Gatwick, Alderney, and Southampton, as well as the key Jersey connection scheduled to launch on 15 January.
TLA president Deputy John Gollop said recent developments in Guernsey’s aviation sector had created “a material shift and significant change for the travelling public,” making community feedback particularly important.
Two of the consultations will close on Friday, while the consultation regarding Loganair’s proposed Guernsey–Jersey service remains open until 15 December.
The applications currently under review include:
A Loganair bid to run scheduled passenger and cargo flights between Guernsey and Southampton
An Aurigny application to operate passenger and cargo services between Guernsey and Jersey
A Loganair proposal for a scheduled passenger and cargo route linking Guernsey and Jersey
Gollop encouraged islanders to take part, saying he hoped to receive input from “as many people as possible.” Comments can be submitted in writing or by email to the TLA.
