Jersey extends low-carbon heating grant scheme to 2030

Applications for government grants to help cover the cost of installing electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Jersey will close on 13 December.
The Electric Vehicle Charger Incentive (EVCI) was increased from £350 to £700 in August 2025, with support available to households, businesses and charities.
Businesses can apply for funding for up to ten chargers to help encourage the transition to electric vehicle fleets.
The government says the scheme is part of its commitment to promoting sustainable transport and reducing emissions.
The EVCI will close alongside grants for Home and Non-Domestic Energy Audits, with residents and businesses urged to apply ahead of the deadline.
Meanwhile, financial support for switching to low-carbon heating has been extended until 2030.
The Low Carbon Heating Incentive offers homeowners up to £9,000 towards installing electric heating systems or air source heat pumps. Eligible lower-income households can receive up to £15,000.
Environment Minister Senator Mary Le Hegarat said the extension would give homeowners and businesses greater certainty while encouraging investment in energy-efficient heating and the development of local skills.
She also encouraged anyone considering an electric vehicle charger grant or an energy audit for their home or business to apply well before the December deadline.
