Blue Islands to Boost Channel Islands Flight Network in 2026

Airline Blue Islands has announced plans to expand its flight schedule from the Channel Islands next year, introducing new and extended routes across the UK and Europe.

The carrier will increase services from Jersey to Dublin, Newcastle, Norwich, and Paris, while also adding a new non-stop Guernsey–Norwich connection. This complements its current network linking Guernsey with Southampton, Jersey, and Newcastle.

The move comes after a challenging summer for the airline, which faced scrutiny for cancelling 28 flights and being named the least punctual UK airline by aviation regulators earlier this year.

Despite those setbacks, Blue Islands has sought to broaden its reach. In August, the airline launched direct flights from Jersey and Guernsey to Belgium, catering to travellers heading to Europe’s festive Christmas markets.

Blue Islands confirmed it will continue to operate its core routes from Jersey to Southampton, Bristol, East Midlands, and Exeter.

Chief executive Rob Veron said the airline is focused on strengthening regional connections:

“This summer we introduced new flights to Newcastle and Paris, and as we look ahead to 2026, we’re continuing to invest in the Channel Islands’ connectivity,” he said.

Flights between Jersey and Paris will now begin in early April — seven weeks earlier than before — with up to three weekly services planned for an extended summer season.

“Supporting travel for business, leisure, family visits, sport, and healthcare, as well as our visitor economy, is vital to the social and economic wellbeing of our islands,” Mr Veron added.
