Police appeal after man injured in St Helier assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 61-year-old man was injured during an alleged assault in St Helier in the early hours of Saturday, 15 August.
The incident happened on Library Place between 12.40am and 12.55am and involved the man and a group of youths believed to be aged between 16 and 20.
The man, who was wearing a white shirt, beige linen trousers and a black shoulder bag, is believed to have approached the area from the direction of Conway Street.
Following the incident, he ran towards NatWest Bank on Library Place before continuing along Broad Street. He later attended hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Police said the man is not believed to have known those involved.
Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
