Jersey students are celebrating their GCSE results, with the island’s overall pass rate rising to 77.1%, up from 76.3% last year.
More than a quarter of all grades - 26.7% - were at grades 7 to 9, equivalent to A or A*.
Schools across the island reported strong performances. Jersey College for Girls said students averaged a grade 7, while Victoria College recorded its highest proportion of grades 9 to 6 in five years.
Beaulieu said 89% of its students achieved at least five grades at 4 or above, including English and Maths, while Grainville reported its strongest results since before the Covid pandemic.
Education Minister Deputy Catherine Curtis congratulated students and praised the teachers, support staff, parents and carers who helped them reach the milestone.
Students who are unsure about their next steps can seek careers advice from Skills Jersey.
