Government workers are set to begin work to stabilise an unsafe wall at Rouge Bouillon after property owners failed to complete the required repairs.
Jersey's Regulation Department said the owners had been given time to appoint contractors and carry out the necessary remedial work, but "sufficient progress has not been made to address the matter."
As a result, the department will use its statutory powers to carry out the work needed to make the structure safe.
In a statement, the department said it had worked closely with the landowners throughout the process and remained committed to ensuring the required safety measures were put in place as quickly as possible.
The work is scheduled to begin on Saturday and is expected to take up to two weeks to complete.
The latest development follows the temporary closure of Rouge Bouillon after a new depression appeared in the road near the site of a sinkhole discovered in 2024, prompting concerns about the stability of the area.
