Dutch carrier KLM has announced the return of direct flights connecting Jersey and Amsterdam. Tickets are now on sale for travel starting April 2026, with all-inclusive return fares from £179.
The airline’s Cityhopper service will operate using smaller Embraer 175 and 190 jets, offering both Economy and Business Class seating. Initially, flights will run once a week from 4 April to 3 July 2026. From 4 July to 30 August, the service will increase to daily flights for the summer peak, before reverting to a Saturday-only schedule from 31 August to 24 October.
Passengers flying with KLM from Jersey will also have the opportunity to connect to over 160 destinations worldwide, including Boston, Singapore, Buenos Aires, and Toronto.
The route’s revival follows EasyJet’s decision to discontinue flights from the Netherlands to Jersey in 2023. KLM, however, believes its model is better suited to stimulate tourism on the island during the summer months.
Jerome Salemi, General Manager for Air France and KLM in the UK, Jersey, and Ireland, highlighted the differences between the two carriers.
“KLM will operate smaller aircraft with 88 to 100 seats, which better matches initial demand,” Salemi explained. “Unlike EasyJet’s point-to-point model, KLM benefits from Amsterdam as a hub, allowing passengers from various countries to connect via the city. This makes the route more resilient.”
As part of a partnership with Ports of Jersey, KLM will also actively promote the island to Dutch travellers, aiming to attract both holidaymakers and connecting passengers.
