A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody after a knife-related incident at Haute Vallée School in St Helier.
States of Jersey Police said the teenager was restrained by school staff before officers arrived at the scene. One pupil sustained a very minor injury to their hand, and no other injuries were reported.
Parents were initially advised not to come to the school, although most students were later dismissed at the usual time. Three police vehicles remained at Haute Vallée at around 15:00 GMT.
In a message sent to parents, the school confirmed an incident had taken place during the afternoon and reassured families that all students and staff were safe.
