Professional and amateur skateboarders came together for the Bowl ā Crock festival at Les Quennevais Skatepark in St Brelade on Saturday.
Organisers Skate Space described the event as a “carnival of skateboard culture,” with live music, art, food, and workshops. Now in its second year, the festival also raised money for the Danny Cram Foundation, a men’s mental health charity set up in memory of the Jersey skater.
Young skater Charlie said he was thrilled to see UK pro Jordan Thackeray, adding: “They always do sick airs and cool combinations of tricks.” His sister Lydia said she loved watching the pros “thrash the bowl,” while their father Steven praised the family-friendly atmosphere.
Among the international guests was Brazilian double-amputee skater Felipe Nunes, who wowed the crowd with his skills. Organiser Natalie Mayer said he had been “incredible” and was excited to experience Jersey for the first time.
A spokesperson for the festival said it aimed to celebrate Cram’s memory, raise awareness of mental health, and “bring everyone together as a community.”
