Essential maintenance work is scheduled to be carried out on the roof of the Enid Quenault Health and Wellbeing Centre in 2026, the Government of Jersey has confirmed.

The government has issued a tender seeking a contractor to undertake the project at the £15m facility, which opened in 2023 on the former site of Les Quennevais Secondary School.

Planned works, expected to take place during the summer, include laying a new protective membrane over the existing asphalt roof, as well as installing measures to prevent birds from nesting on the building.

Officials said the scheme would be treated as a major project, as it is anticipated to last longer than 30 days. However, the health centre will remain fully accessible to patients and staff while the work is underway.

The Enid Quenault centre provides a range of outpatient services that were previously based at Overdale Hospital, which has since been demolished to make way for Jersey’s new acute hospital development.
