The number of registered sex offenders in Jersey rose to 211 in 2025, according to the latest annual report from the Jersey Multi‑Agency Public Protection Arrangements. The figure marks an increase from 202 recorded in 2024.

During the year, 26 individuals were newly added to the register, while 13 were removed. The report notes that this continues a pattern of year-on-year increases, with 21 new offenders recorded in 2024.

JMAPPA chair Mike Cutland said that although risks can never be fully eliminated, authorities remain focused on supervision, monitoring, treatment and safeguarding potential victims.

JMAPPA oversees the assessment and management of sexual, violent and other dangerous offenders, including those legally required to register as sex offenders. Some individuals remain on the register for life, while others can apply for removal after completing a minimum period.

The report also highlighted the wide age range of individuals on the register, from 17 to 86 years old. Of the 211 offenders, 83 live in Jersey, 76 live off-island, and 52 were serving sentences at HMP La Moye.

Cutland emphasised that protecting the public remains the top priority, adding that effective risk management relies on coordinated efforts between agencies, sharing information and expertise to reduce the risk of harm to the community
