Railway Walk Repairs and Upgrades Completed After Storm Ciaran
More than a year after Storm Ciaran devastated the Railway Walk in November 2023, repairs and enhancements to the popular path are now complete. The storm caused widespread damage, with hundreds of fallen trees requiring removal. The pathway from St Aubin to Corbiere was then reshaped and levelled.
In addition to resurfacing, old chains and bollards at crossing points were replaced with timber designs to better blend with the natural surroundings. The government stated that the upgrades also improve accessibility, providing more space for double buggies and non-standard cycles.
