Plans to transform Coronation Park Playing Fields have been approved, with work expected to be completed this summer.
The improvements include sand dunes, a cycling pump track, nature play areas, new planting and better pedestrian access. A sensory garden and additional seating will also form part of the project.
The Government of Jersey said the scheme would help “unlock an important piece of public open space”.
The development will also feature the Channel Islands’ first purpose-built pump track - a looped cycling course designed to be ridden without pedalling — aimed at providing a free facility for children.
Track designer Velosolutions said the new attraction would enhance Jersey’s reputation as a cycling destination and appeal to both residents and visitors.
