Islanders can now have groceries and everyday essentials delivered straight to their homes following a new partnership between Alliance Retail, Iceland Foods and delivery platform Snappy Shopper.

The service enables customers across Jersey to browse and order thousands of products through the Snappy Shopper app and website, with delivery slots available throughout the day to suit different schedules.

The launch represents Snappy Shopper’s first move into Jersey, bringing the platform’s delivery service - already used by millions of customers across the UK - to the island.

Since going live, shoppers have used the service for a range of needs, from completing weekly grocery orders and buying family essentials to making last-minute top-up purchases. The average basket size has reached £72.

The new service is designed to provide a more convenient way for islanders to shop, particularly supporting busy families, older residents, people with limited mobility, and anyone wanting to save time on their regular grocery trips.

Greg Deacon, VP at Snappy Shopper, said: "We're delighted to bring Snappy Shopper to Jersey and give residents a new, convenient way to shop for groceries and everyday essentials.

"Customers are increasingly looking for flexible delivery options that fit around their lives, and we're pleased to be working with Alliance Retail and Iceland to make that possible. The response from shoppers so far has been incredibly encouraging."

Ross Falla, Finance Director at Alliance Retail, added: “We’re delighted to launch this new service for customers in Jersey, providing a reliable and convenient way for people to access groceries and everyday essentials without needing to visit a store in person.

“This partnership is an important part of our continued expansion plans, both digitally and through future retail growth across the islands. We see significant potential to broaden the range available to customers over time and continue improving accessibility and convenience for the communities we serve.”

The launch forms part of Alliance Retail’s wider investment in improving access to shopping services across the island, giving customers greater choice and flexibility in how they purchase everyday goods.

Residents can use the service via the Snappy Shopper app or website, placing orders directly from their local Iceland store for home delivery.
