A new digital safety website has been launched in Jersey to help children, young people and families better understand how to stay safe online.
The platform, called DigiSafe Jersey, provides guidance on navigating the online world responsibly, highlighting potential risks for young users and offering practical advice for parents and carers.
Assistant Minister for Children and Families Malcolm Ferey said the initiative demonstrated the government’s focus on protecting Islanders as digital activity continues to grow.
“DigiSafe Jersey shows what can be achieved through collaboration,” he said. “It is a resource that will evolve over time and support the whole community.”
The website has been developed in partnership with pupils from the School Council Network, who helped shape the content by creating real-life scenarios to inform the guidance.
Its launch comes after a scrutiny panel urged the government to strengthen its approach to tackling online harm affecting children. The panel made 38 recommendations, with ministers accepting 12 in full, partially accepting 22 and rejecting three.
Further information and advice are available through the DigiSafe Jersey website.
