Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly exposed himself to two women in a Bel Royal car park on Friday night.
Officers said the incident occurred between 21:30 and 22:00 GMT at the Kiosk car park. The women were sitting inside their vehicle at the far end of the parking area, facing the sea, with Busy Beans Nursery located behind them.
According to police, the man walked up to the driver’s side of the car and exposed himself before leaving the area in the direction of the nursery. No attempt was made to gain access to the vehicle and there was no verbal interaction.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 50 and 60, and standing between 5ft 8in (1.72m) and 6ft (1.8m) tall. He is said to have a chubby build, white facial stubble, short white and grey hair with a bald patch, and was wearing square reading glasses with clear lenses and thin black frames.
At the time, he was dressed in dark trousers and a dark green long-sleeved top.
Police said additional high-visibility patrols were carried out in the area over the weekend to reassure the public and support community safety.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man matching the description in the area at the time is urged to contact police to assist with enquiries.
