Jersey Roads See Speed Limits Reduced in Safety Drive

The Infrastructure and Environment Department said updated signs were installed in St Peter on Thursday to encourage active travel and make road users feel safer.

In total, six roads have seen limits reduced from 40mph to 20mph, 12 have been lowered from 40mph to 30mph, and two have been cut from 30mph to 20mph. Several others have been designated as green lanes.

Among the most significant changes are Le Mont Fallu and Le Vieux Beaumont, which have dropped from 40mph to 30mph, and part of La Grande Route de St Pierre, which has been reduced from 30mph to 20mph.
