Seymour Group Plans New Pizza Restaurant at Former Pizza Hut Site
A leading Jersey hospitality company has unveiled plans to bring a new pizza restaurant to the Waterfront.
Seymour Group – the hotel operator behind the Merton, Pomme d’Or, and Greenhills – has submitted proposals to open DIP DOH Pizza Co. in the former Pizza Hut premises, pending planning approval.
The proposed eatery will feature both indoor and outdoor dining, accommodating up to 104 customers inside and 38 outside. According to the plans, the restaurant would open from Wednesday to Sunday, operating in the afternoons through to 10 p.m., with a takeaway option also on offer.
It is understood that Seymour Group has entered into a nine-year lease agreement with the Jersey Development Company for the site.
Pizza Hut closed its doors in July 2022, leaving the unit—located next to Cineworld—vacant for more than two years.
The area has seen a gradual revival in recent months, with new venues such as Spanish wine bar Pablo’s and coffee shop Fenn & Co opening at the nearby Horizon apartments. The former Arcadia site has also been repurposed, now home to children’s indoor play centre Tintos.
However, some neighbouring units, including the old TGI Fridays and The Bar, continue to remain unoccupied.
