Jersey Man Sentenced to Community Service for Drug Importation Scheme
A 31-year-old man from Jersey has been handed a community service sentence after authorities uncovered his involvement in importing illegal drugs through the postal system over a 19-month period.
Jonathan Andrew Falle was arrested in September 2024 after customs officers intercepted a package delivered to his home containing two grams of cocaine. Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of two additional parcels addressed to Falle, which contained a further seven grams of the Class A drug.
A search of Falle’s mobile phone revealed messages discussing the importation of parcels and the distribution of various illicit substances, including cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA in both pill and powder form.
According to police, Falle had been actively ordering, promoting, and distributing these substances on the Island between February 2023 and his arrest in September 2024. The estimated street value of the cocaine seized during the investigation was approximately £2,250.
Earlier this week, Jersey’s Royal Court sentenced Falle to 480 hours of community service and placed him under 12 months’ probation for the importation and supply of controlled drugs.
