Fundraiser Completes Seven Marathons in Seven Days
A Jersey runner has completed a gruelling challenge of seven marathons in seven days, raising more than £3,000 for local charity AllMatters Neurodiverse Jersey.
James Hadley-Piggin, 27, ran 26.2-mile courses across England, Wales, Guernsey, Sark and Jersey, finishing the final marathon in St Helier on Sunday, where dozens gathered to cheer him over the line.
Each leg of the challenge brought different tests, with Guernsey proving the toughest psychologically and Sark the most demanding physically due to its steep terrain.
Funds raised will support Breaking Barriers, an event run by AllMatters Neurodiverse Jersey to help members of the neurodiverse community discover sports and activities that can aid their wellbeing.
Mr Hadley-Piggin was presented with a trophy at the finish in recognition of his achievement.
