The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited Jersey’s Les Ecréhous reef during a two-day royal visit, marking what is believed to be the first time a member of the Royal Family has travelled to the remote offshore area.

Located around six miles north of Jersey, Les Ecréhous is known for its unique wildlife and natural environment.

During her visit, the duchess met local farmers, environmental groups and young people to learn more about the island’s approach to protecting nature and supporting sustainable food production.

The visit highlighted Jersey’s work in caring for its environment while promoting a more sustainable future for the island.
