A serious road traffic collision involving a van, motorcycle, and bus on the Esplanade in St Helier this afternoon (1 July) is causing significant disruption through the town centre.
Emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene. Initial reports suggest injuries are minor, although one driver has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The incident has led to major access restrictions in the area. The road is currently blocked from the Route de Liberation roundabout, with the underpass onto the Esplanade westbound also closed. Disruption is expected to continue for some time while recovery work and investigations take place.
Islanders are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible, with congestion building across surrounding roads.
The States of Jersey Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision, and further updates are expected once more information is confirmed.
This remains a developing situation.
