Deputy Hilary Jeune said politicians had waited too long for government action, calling for urgent cost-of-living measures instead of waiting until November for the Common Strategic Policy debate.
She warned that Jersey’s backlog of outdated laws could grow because of limited resources and staff.
Chief Minister Lyndon Farnham said ministers were focused on developing a realistic, properly funded programme, including the proposed Common Strategic Policy and Budget 2027.
