Tickets for the Channel Islands’ Christmas Lottery go on sale this Wednesday, as the festive draw celebrates its 50th anniversary.
First launched in 1975, the lottery has raised “tens of millions” for charities across Jersey and Guernsey, according to Jon Taylor, head of the Channel Islands Lottery.
This year’s jackpot starts at a guaranteed £300,000, with the potential to rise depending on ticket sales. Taylor said affordability remained a priority, noting that tickets have been held at £2 in recent years. “Ultimately, the aim is to generate funds for worthy causes,” he added.
The 2025 Christmas Lottery draw is scheduled for Thursday 18 December at 18:00.
For the first time, players will also be able to purchase syndicate tickets online, broadening access to the annual festive fundraiser.
