Jersey Producers Shine in National Food Awards
Four local producers have brought home top honours at this year’s Great Taste Awards, one of the UK’s most respected food and drink accreditation schemes.
The Jersey Fudge Pot, Jersey Seafood, La Mare Wine Estate, and The Smokey Shed were each recognised for the exceptional quality of their products, earning coveted Great Taste stars following a rigorous blind-tasting process.
Judged by over 500 chefs, food critics, retailers, and industry professionals, the awards celebrate excellence in flavour, texture, presentation, and the integrity of ingredients.
John Garton, Chief Executive of Genuine Jersey, praised the achievement:
“These awards are a fantastic endorsement of the passion, skill, and quality that our members bring to everything they produce.”
He added that the recognition was not just a win for the producers, but for the island as a whole:

The Great Taste Awards are widely regarded as a hallmark of excellence within the artisan food and drink sector, with thousands of entries submitted from across the UK and beyond.
