Guernsey’s airline Aurigny is offering free fares for children during the February half-term in a bid to boost inter-island travel.
The promotion applies to journeys between Jersey and Guernsey taking place from 14 to 23 February, with the airline saying it hopes the offer will encourage families to enjoy a short break or visit relatives.
The move comes as Aurigny prepares to take on a larger role in inter-island services after being confirmed as the sole operator on the route. The States-owned airline has pledged to deliver an improved service following the withdrawal of Blue Islands.
Philip Saunders, Aurigny’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the offer reflected the airline’s commitment to strengthening connections between the islands and supporting local communities.
The free fares are available for children aged under 11 when travelling with a fare-paying adult, and bookings must be made by 19 February.
Aurigny said the initiative forms part of its renewed focus on maintaining key “lifeline” routes between the Channel Islands.
