Affordable housing provider Andium Homes has completed more than 300 new properties so far this year, with plans well underway to add hundreds more in the coming months.
Chief executive Lindsay Wood shared the update during a Public Accounts Committee hearing on Wednesday, outlining the company’s ongoing efforts to expand access to affordable housing across the Island.
Responding to a question from committee member Philip Taylor about Andium’s key achievements in recent years, Ms Wood highlighted the organisation’s progress in both construction and homeownership initiatives.
“This year alone, we’ve delivered 307 new homes across our estates, including our new developments at Maisons Les Arches, near the Grand Marché, and the Mayfair Hotel site,” she said.
Ms Wood added that Andium has also signed contracts for a further 600 homes, including 250 family properties to be built on four sites identified in the Island Plan.
“We’ve also successfully let those homes and created new homeowners,” she continued. “Since Andium was incorporated, we’ve helped almost 600 households become homeowners — and we continue to expand the range of ownership options available.”
At the end of last year, Andium announced it had secured £100 million in private investment from institutional backers to support its long-term development programme.
The company says this funding will play a key role in accelerating construction, improving housing supply, and helping to meet Jersey’s growing demand for affordable and secure homes.
