Jersey Airport passengers should prepare for some temporary adjustments as work begins on upgrading the departure lounge.

The Ports of Jersey (POJ) confirmed that flights and check-in operations will continue as normal throughout the redevelopment.

This project is part of POJ’s 10-year investment plan aimed at enhancing airport facilities and improving passengers’ “first and last impressions of the island.”

Sarah-Louise Stubbs, Head of Terminal Operations, said the team had carefully planned the works to ensure key services remain open and easy to access.

“Clear signage is in place, and additional staff are on hand to assist passengers,” Stubbs said.“This is a major investment in Jersey’s airport and the experience we offer to everyone travelling to and from the island.”

Passengers will be directed along a new walkway to the departure lounge, with extra waiting areas available during the construction period.

The current phase of the works is scheduled for completion by summer, with the full departure lounge expected to reopen by summer 2027. The next phase of the redevelopment is planned for delivery by spring 2027, POJ confirmed.
