Aspiring Politicians Invited to Jersey Election Info Event
Islanders considering standing in Jersey’s 2026 election are being encouraged to attend a dedicated event designed to help them prepare for public office.
The “Plan to Stand” session, organised by Vote.je, will take place on Tuesday 24 June at 6pm in the States Building. Attendees will hear from current States members during a panel discussion, followed by a guided tour of the States Chamber.
Campaign manager Emily Thomas said: “As we approach the one-year countdown to the next election, it’s essential that potential candidates feel informed and supported.”
Procedural guidance will also be provided by the Greffier of the States, Lisa Hart, and Deputy Greffier William Millow.
Jersey’s next general election is scheduled for Sunday 7 June 2026.
