Uncertainty Over Jersey Battle of Flowers as Organisers Weigh Options
The future of Jersey’s Battle of Flowers remains uncertain as organisers continue to assess whether this year’s event can go ahead.
A meeting at Grouville Parish Hall on Monday failed to produce a final decision, with financial concerns still a major hurdle. Last year’s event overspent by £150,000, and clearing debts remains a priority.
Chairman Russell Labey said a decision must be made soon, as flowers need to be ordered. Meanwhile, a newly formed Battle Strategy Group is working to keep the tradition alive.
Another meeting next month is expected to determine the fate of the 2025 event.
