Drivers in Jersey will soon notice lower speed limits on a number of roads as part of government efforts to improve road safety and support walking and cycling.
Updated speed limit signs will begin appearing across parts of St Ouen from Monday, following a review by the Roads Committee and a public consultation process.
The Government of Jersey said the changes are designed to help residents feel safer, particularly those travelling actively or making school journeys. Several roads will see their limits reduced, including La Route de Vinchelez and Le Chemin du Moulin.
Four roads will have their maximum speed lowered from 40mph to 30mph, while a further 21 roads will move to a 20mph limit.
Officials said the measures aim to create calmer roads in residential and rural areas, reducing the risk of serious collisions and improving conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.
A full breakdown of the revised speed limits is available on the Government of Jersey website.
