New Webpage Launched to Support Jersey’s Small Businesses and Sole Traders
Jersey’s company registry has launched a new online resource aimed at supporting sole traders and small business owners across the island.
The dedicated webpage, introduced by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), offers practical tools and straightforward guidance to help users understand the process of starting and managing a business.
According to the JFSC, the new section provides clear explanations of company types, step-by-step resources for setup, and advice tailored to small-scale entrepreneurs. The initiative is designed to simplify what can often feel like a complex or daunting process.
“We understand that starting a new business or taking it to the next stage can feel overwhelming,” said a spokesperson for the JFSC. “This new resource is part of our commitment to making the process more accessible and supportive for local entrepreneurs.”
The commission also confirmed plans to expand the page further, including simplified guidance on choosing and registering a business name.
The new support page can be accessed through the JFSC website and is part of broader efforts to strengthen Jersey’s small business landscape.
