Trinity Road Works Extended After Safety Concerns Roadworks on Trinity Road, Jersey, have been extended after engineers discovered voids beneath the carriageway.
Originally due to finish on 1 September, the closure will now run until 10 September. The Government of Jersey said the defects were in the centre of the road, requiring extra work to ensure “long-term safety and stability.”
Officials apologised for the disruption, saying the repairs would prevent further closures in future. They added that the team was working to finish as quickly as possible and was in contact with local businesses to minimise the impact.
