Revamped Fort Regent plans released early next year

Plans for the redevelopment of Fort Regent are expected to be unveiled in early 2025, according to Lee Henry, Chief Executive of the Jersey Development Company (JDC). The company took on responsibility for the project following its appointment by Jersey’s Minister for Infrastructure.


Mr. Henry stated that the proposals are being finalised and are anticipated to be released within the first few months of the year, although this timeline depends on ongoing discussions with stakeholders and government officials. He described the plans as “exciting proposals that would deliver significant all-weather facilities for the island.”


Speaking at a public meeting about revised plans for St Helier’s waterfront, Mr. Henry explained that the Fort Regent project has been designed to complement the waterfront redevelopment, ensuring no overlap in facilities.


However, he clarified that the proposals for Fort Regent do not currently include a swimming pool. The decision was influenced
