Refurbishment Finally Underway at Mulcaster House as Part of New Hospital Project
After years of delays and debate, refurbishment work has finally begun at Mulcaster House—part of the long-awaited £710 million Overdale Acute Hospital development in Jersey.
The government confirmed that construction is now underway at the site in St Helier. Once renovations are complete, the building will initially serve as a site office during the hospital’s construction phase. It will later become the permanent base for the Health and Care Jersey Facilities Management team.
Access to Mulcaster House will be restricted while works are ongoing, though overflow parking for the neighbouring crematorium will remain available on the approach road.
For many Islanders, the visible progress marks a long overdue step forward in delivering Jersey’s new hospital.
