Organisers Announce Temporary New Route for Jersey’s Battle of Flowers

The organisers of Jersey’s iconic Battle of Flowers have revealed a temporary new route for this year’s event, pending final approval from the Bailiff’s Public Entertainment Panel.

Set to take place on 8 and 9 August, the carnival will begin and end on the Esplanade, following a new path through St Helier’s town centre.

A spokesperson for the event said, “We’re a new team, full of energy and passion for the future of the Battle of Flowers. This August is all about celebrating our incredible community and the enduring spirit of this one-of-a-kind festival.”

They added, “Our focus is on the future – revitalising the event, securing its long-term success, and creating unforgettable experiences for both islanders and visitors alike.”

“If we receive the final go-ahead, we invite everyone to join us for these two special, one-off free parades as we embark on this exciting new chapter together.”
