A new operator has officially been confirmed for Jersey’s 130-year-old Havre des Pas Lido in St Helier.
Jersey Business, which managed the tender process, announced that Lido Jersey has agreed to the lease terms for the popular seaside site. Operating under the trading name of First Point Property Services, the company will take over full responsibility for managing and maintaining the lido from 1 April, including the swimming pool.
Marcus Troy, director of Lido Jersey, described the appointment as the start of an “exciting new chapter” for the historic facility. He said the team plans to share its vision and future plans for the site with local residents in the coming weeks.
Previously, the café and kiosk at the lido were run by The Lido (Havre des Pas) Limited, while Jersey Property Holdings managed the public facilities.
Marcus Calvani of The Lido (Havre des Pas) Limited said the site had grown into a well-known brand over the past decade and had hosted numerous major celebrations. He added that the team was proud of the progress made and encouraged that the next operators would build on the strong foundations already established.
