A new online directory has been launched in Jersey to make it easier for islanders to find mental health and wellbeing support.

The Mental Health Directory brings information about a range of services together in one place, helping people identify the support available and find options suited to their individual needs. It can be used by those seeking help for themselves or looking for support for someone else.

Health officials said the initiative aims to make it simpler for islanders to understand the services available and how to access them.

Andy Weir, managing director of Jersey’s Health and Care Service, said many people need support at different points in their lives, but finding the right help can sometimes be challenging.

He said the new directory would provide a central source of information about mental health services across the island.

Mr Weir added that seeking support can be an important first step, and the directory was designed to make that process easier by helping people understand what help is available and how to access it.

The Mental Health Directory can be accessed online through the Government of Jersey website.
