Jersey Homelessness Charity Appoints New CEO

Sanctuary Trust, a Jersey-based charity supporting men experiencing homelessness, has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer. Sarah Tumelty, who has served as the charity’s general manager for the past three years, has been promoted to the leadership role.

Chair of the trust, Tim Ringsdore, expressed confidence in Ms. Tumelty’s ability to expand the charity’s services, ensuring continued support for those in need. 'Her dedication and leadership have been key to the charity's success, particularly in overcoming economic challenges and the difficulty of finding suitable, affordable housing," he said.

Sanctuary Trust currently provides residential support to 30 men and extends outreach services to more than 30 others.

Established in 2011, the charity has helped over 350 men at crisis points in their lives, offering emergency accommodation and long-term support.

Ms. Tumelty’s appointment marks a new chapter for the organisation as it continues its vital work in the community.
