A new digital platform has been launched in Jersey to make supporting local charities faster and simpler.
JerseyGiving, developed by technology companies RaceNation and SportsGiving, was created in collaboration with the island’s charitable sector.
RaceNation, which was founded in Jersey, has already managed more than 6,000 events across the UK and Channel Islands, processing over £35 million in donations since 2014. The new platform aims to give island charities a purpose-built tool to raise funds more effectively.
Chief executive Will Golder said the launch reflected the company’s ongoing commitment to the island. “Through our Jersey Gift Support digital declaration, we’ve already helped charities automatically increase eligible donations by 25%. JerseyGiving takes that support even further,” he said.
The project has been developed with input from Jersey Hospice Care, which welcomed the initiative.
Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation, described it as “an important digital step for our island’s charity sector,” adding that she hoped to introduce the platform to more organisations in the months ahead.
