A new campaign aimed at tackling street harassment and its impact has been launched in Jersey as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to address Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
Titled It’s Not Okay, the initiative seeks to challenge harmful attitudes and behaviors, particularly targeting young men and boys aged 16 to 25.
This campaign builds on the work of the VAWG Taskforce, which was established in October 2022 under former Home Affairs Minister Deputy Helen Miles to address violence and aggression disproportionately affecting women and girls.
The campaign features a variety of materials, including online content, posters, stickers, and an animated video, all designed to raise awareness about the issue of street harassment.
