Marine Sector to Receive Up to £500K in Funding Support

Jersey’s fishing industry is set to receive up to £500,000 in support next year, according to Deputy Kirsten Morel, Minister for Sustainable Economic Development.
The marine support scheme, launched in 2023, provides direct financial aid through a points-based credit system. Morel also announced plans to expand eligibility for agricultural loans.
Meanwhile, Environment Minister Steve Luce said a working group is being formed to explore fish processing opportunities in St Helier, with a meeting scheduled for 7 March.
