A man has been taken into custody after four women were sexually assaulted in St Helier early on Sunday morning.
According to Jersey Police, the assaults occurred between 06:00 and 07:20 GMT at separate locations in the town. Officers believe all four incidents were carried out by the same individual.
Police are urging anyone who may have been approached or targeted to come forward, including a woman they particularly wish to identify. She is believed to have passed the Coop near the Art Centre on Phillips Street at around 07:00.
Investigators said the suspect approached her near the Entertainer toy shop on Minden Place. She was later seen walking past Bean Around the World on Burrard Street before the man fled at the junction with New Street. The woman is described as having dark hair and wearing black trousers, a black jacket and white trainers.
Officers arrested a man at 07:31 following a 999 call from one of the victims. He remains in police custody.
Jersey Police have highlighted several organisations that provide support to victims of sexual violence, including Dewberry House Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Jersey Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support, and Victims First Jersey.
