St Brelade M&S to Be Transformed into Two-Storey Foodhall

The M&S store at Red Houses in St Brelade is set for a major revamp, with Sandpiper CI announcing plans to convert the current fashion, home and beauty outlet into a dedicated two-floor Foodhall.

The proposed “fresh market-style” store would feature an in-house bakery, a flower section, and a wine shop, alongside a wide range of groceries. Customers would also be able to use a new “collect by car” service.

Subject to planning approval, work could begin this autumn. The store would close temporarily for the refurbishment, with a reopening scheduled later in the year.

Once complete, it will become the fifth standalone M&S Foodhall in Jersey. A smaller food department previously operated in the basement of the existing Les Quennevais store.

An M&S spokesperson said the move would bring its food offer to more customers on the island. “The new store design will make shopping at St Brelade even more enjoyable and convenient,” they added.
