Free Tickets Available for Jersey’s 80th Liberation Anniversary Service
Residents can now secure free tickets to attend the 80th anniversary service of thanksgiving in Liberation Square, commemorating the end of Nazi occupation in Jersey.
A dedicated website has been launched to provide details on this year’s commemorative events.
To mark the occasion, the States of Jersey has announced that licensed venues will be permitted to stay open an hour later on Friday, 9 May, without needing to apply for an extension. This means bars can operate until midnight, while nightclubs can remain open until 3:00 am.
Tickets can be obtained through the Liberation 80 Eventbrite page. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the Royal Court Building on a first-come, first-served basis for those unable to book online.
