Tayto and Tatti Join Jersey Zoo’s Central Valley Lake
Two giant semi-aquatic rodents, Tayto and Tatti, have arrived at Jersey Zoo from Hertfordshire Zoo.
The capybara sisters are settling into their new home in the wetland enclosure, where they share space with Chilean flamingos.
Capybaras made a return to Jersey Zoo in 2023 when Maple and Olive arrived from ZooParc de Beauval in France. However, just two months later, Olive sadly passed away, leaving her half-sister Maple alone.
In a recent exchange, Maple has now moved to Hertfordshire Zoo, where she joins two other capybaras, Kiwi and Gizmo.
