Jersey to gain direct Sardinia flights in new 2027 summer programme

Jersey residents will be able to fly directly to Sardinia next summer, with new services to Olbia set to operate between May and August 2027.

The flights are being introduced by C.I. Travel Group as part of its FlyDirect summer programme.

The 2027 schedule will also include weekly direct flights from Jersey to Majorca, Ibiza, Malaga on Spain’s Costa del Sol, and Faro in Portugal.

The travel group says it is expanding its capacity across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man in response to growing demand for direct flights.

C.I. Travel Group Director Alexander Devlin said direct services offered islanders a more convenient way to reach holiday destinations without having to travel via a UK airport or arrange an overnight stay.

He said Sardinia would be the company’s first Italian holiday destination and described the addition as an exciting new option in the Mediterranean.

Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, said the FlyDirect programme would provide direct access from Jersey to five sunshine destinations.

He said the introduction of Sardinia alongside returning routes to Spain and Portugal would give islanders another choice when planning a summer holiday.

All Jersey flights in the 2027 programme will be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline, BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways.

The services will use Embraer 190 aircraft.
