Deadline Approaches for Jersey Paper Tax Returns

Jersey taxpayers using paper forms have until Saturday 31 May to submit their 2024 tax returns, the government has reminded.

So far, just under half of all returns have been filed, with more than 18,000 submitted on paper. Islanders opting to file online have until Thursday 31 July. In 2024, 51% of returns were submitted digitally.

Comptroller of Revenue Richard Summersgill encouraged early submission, noting it helps keep monthly salary deductions more stable.

The government added that 88% of 2024 tax returns were assessed within 30 days of being received.
