Jersey Opera House to Reopen with Spectacular ‘ENCORE!’ Show
The Jersey Opera House will raise its curtain this October with ENCORE! Welcome Home, a special production marking the theatre’s grand reopening after a £12 million refurbishment.
Running from 3–5 October, the homecoming show will feature more than 100 local performers—both aspiring and professional—coming together in a celebration of music, dance, and storytelling.
Devised and directed by Nick Carver, Victoria Hermitage, and Luke Brown, the one-of-a-kind production will also showcase a gala choir made up of young islanders.
Theatre organisers described the reopening as a historic moment, inviting audiences of all ages to “take a seat and be part of history.”
The Opera House has remained closed since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. It was deemed unsafe to reopen without major restoration works, which have now been completed with government funding.
